Moose Jaw is a safe, harmonious and inclusive community.
Welcome to the Moose Jaw Police Service. Our web site provides information about our Service, our people, our programs, and the work we do every day to keep Moose Jaw a safe and desirable place to live, work and visit.
The Moose Jaw Police Service has a long and rich history of providing policing and safety services. Although much has changed in the city and the police service since the first constable was sworn in 130 years ago, our commitment to keeping Moose Jaw a safe, harmonious and inclusive community remains a priority.
Today, the women and men of the Moose Jaw Police Service continue to serve our community with pride, integrity and dedication. We value treating everyone with dignity and respect, improving our effectiveness and efficiency, and policing with transparency and accountability. We are innovative, challenging ourselves to improve our responses to crises and crimes. We are collaborative, working closely with our partners on the Regional Intersectoral Committee, the Hub, and other community organizations to bring multifaceted, evidence-based approaches to crime prevention, community development, and complex problems. These values provide the framework for our community policing model of crime prevention, problem solving, peace keeping, and community building.
Whether we are responding to calls for service, providing criminal record checks, enhancing traffic safety, working in our schools, managing our records, investigating crimes, or supporting victims, our focus in all we do is on working together to create positive outcomes and keep Moose Jaw a safe and vibrant community.
