Moose Jaw Police Service Awards Ceremony

The Moose Jaw Police Service is pleased to host its annual awards ceremony to recognize individuals of the community and the Police Service who have worked to make Moose Jaw a better place to live in a number of different ways. The awards recognize people for their contributions to community safety and promotes positive behaviour and provides employee and community engagement opportunities for the Service.

Police Chief, Rick Bourassa will be presenting the awards on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Theatre (adjacent to the Moose Jaw Public Library in Crescent Park).

We welcome members of the public and media to attend.

The awards include:

Chief’s Commendation – presented to police service personnel or community members whose exceptional actions resolved a critical situation.

Innovation – presented to police service personnel and community members who have introduced innovative and effective practices to the Service.

Community Building – presented to police service or community members who made significant contributions to improving the quality of life in the community

Teamwork – presented to police service or community members whose efforts as a team were effective in resolving a major case or increasing community safety.

The awards ceremony will also include a special presentation for past Moose Jaw Board of Police Commissioners, along with Member promotions, and retirements.
