Moose Jaw Police Service Launches Promotional Video

The Moose Jaw Police Service launched its promotional video to the community on February 19, 2025, at a public meeting of the Moose Jaw Board of Police Commissioners.

Moose Jaw resident Jared Robinson, owner of Nebulus Entertainment, produced and filmed the video and composed the orchestral track within the video.

“I was thrilled when the Moose Jaw Police contacted me about working with them on something creative,” said Robinson. “The work they do serving our community is incredibly important. I thought if I could highlight one of a million examples of how they “protect with purpose”, it’d be an honour to capture (and compose) it.”

“Don’t let the short run-time of the ad fool you. With the busy schedules of the officers and the time it takes to put a musical score together, a couple of minutes of footage can take weeks of work. Any time I can put into a project in my own community, I consider time well spent.”

The promotional video includes a collaborative effort by members of the MJPS’s K-9 Unit, Remote Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) Unit, Communications Centre, and the Community and Strategic Services Unit (CSS) to locate a missing youth. Additionally, the video showcases the MJPS’s Tactical Response Team (TRT).

“On behalf of the Moose Jaw Police Service, we can’t thank Jared Robinson enough for his professionalism, creativity, and commitment to the MJPS and our community,” says Acting Chief of Police, Rick Johns. “This video highlights the many opportunities that the MJPS has to attract candidates for police positions,” adds Acting Chief Johns.

Filming of the video began in July 2024 and wrapped up in November 2024

Following the launch, the MJPS will roll out this video on various social media platforms and use it as a recruiting tool, being played at all attended career fairs. The video will also be played on the MJPS’s official website.
