UPDATE: One in custody, One at Large following Home Invasion

The Moose Jaw Police Service has taken 29-year-old Gill Ryan Perreault into custody.

Perreault was the second suspect involved in a Sept. 13 home invasion, which resulted in one individual being taken to hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the head and multiple stab wounds.

He was arrested without incident in a neighbourhood on the east side on Moose Jaw on Sunday morning (Sept., 17).

Perreault will make his first appearance in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Monday, Sept. 18.

The Moose Jaw Police Service has 28-year-old Joshua Bradley Adams in custody and continues to search for 29-year-old Gill Ryan Perreault who remains at large following a Sept. 13 home invasion, leaving a man in hospital.

At approximately 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13, officers responded to a call about a suspicious occurrence at a residence on the 1200 block of Irving Avenue.

Once on scene, officers found an injured 28-year-old male within the residence.

Following a further investigation, officers learned that Adams and Perreault broke into the residence of the victim and were armed with a shotgun and a knife.

The victim then suffered a serious non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the head and was stabbed multiple times. The victim was transported to the hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.

At the time of this offence, Adams was on a lifetime order of prohibition not to possess firearms.

Both Adams and Perreault then fled the scene, prior to police arrival.

Adams has been remanded into Police custody, and the Moose Jaw Police Service has issued an Arrest Warrant for Perreault.

The public should be aware that Perreault could be armed and dangerous and should not be approached. He is described as 5’9″ tall, with brown eyes and black hair.

As a result, Adams has been charged with one count of Breaking and Entering, one count of Attempted Murder, one count of Possessing a firearm while prohibited, and one count of Possessing a firearm without a valid license or registration.

Perreault is facing one count of Breaking and Entering and one count of Attempted Murder.

In addition, the investigation resulted in the seizure of 1 kilogram of Fentanyl with a street value of approximately $400,000, along with $6,700 in Canadian currency.

The investigation is still ongoing and the Moose Jaw Police Service will provide an update once additional information becomes available.

Adams will appear in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Friday morning.

1 kilogram of fentanyl was seized on Wednesday evening (Sept. 14) with a street value of approximatively $400,000.
