The Moose Jaw Police Service has an update on the incident that took place on November 28, 2023, at a local trailer court.

Owen Kretsch, 43, has turned himself into the Police and first appeared in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Monday, December 4, 2023. As a result, Kretsch has been charged with one count each of Extortion, Forcible Confinement, and Robbery. He has been remanded and will make his second court appearance at a later date.

Kretsch was one of six people who were involved in the incident that saw a victim pulled out of their vehicle, taken into a nearby residence, and threatened.

Late last week, an executed search warrant by the MJPS’s Criminal Investigation Section and Community Policing Division resulted in Jeffery Stuart, 37, Jeremy Fisher, 44, and Marnie Hayter, 47, being taken into custody and charged with one count each of Robbery, Forcible Confinement, and Extortion.

The incident remains under investigation and more information will be provided once it becomes available.
