Saskatchewan Police and Peace Officer Memorial

Sunday, September 24, 2023, marks the annual Saskatchewan Police and Peace Officers Memorial in Regina.

Saskatchewan Police and Peace Officers will join together to pay tribute to fallen members with a Parade of Officers, followed by a ceremony.

The Parade of Officers will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, which is located at College Avenue and Albert Street. The parade will then travel south on Albert Street to the Legislative Building.

A Wreath Laying Ceremony with then take place on the front steps of the Legislative Building at 11:00 a.m.

The parade welcomes all active and retired police and peace officers to take part. The general public is welcome to gather along the parade route, along with in front of the Legislative Building for the reading of the Honour Roll and the Wreath Laying Ceremony.

In 1998 the Government of Canada officially proclaimed the last Sunday in September as Canadian Police and Peace Officers’ National Memorial Day.

Since 2004, Saskatchewan Police and Peace Officers have been recognizing this event with their own parade and ceremony in Regina.
