Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Seizure

On February 13, 2024, members of the Moose Jaw Police Service executed a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Stadacona Street East.

Within the vehicle was the driver – a 44-year-old male and the passenger – a 22-year-old male.

Police suspected the driver of the vehicle to be impaired and proceeded to perform a roadside examination using an Approved Screening Device (ASD) – the test came back negative.

A search of the driver yielded 35.6 grams of Methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $3560, along with 67.3 grams of suspected Fentanyl with an estimated street value of $5384.

The passenger of the vehicle was also searched, and a small amount of Fentanyl was found on his person, along with drug paraphernalia.

In addition, 25 boxes of Pokemon and sports cards were discovered in the back seat of the vehicle. It is believed that the cards were stolen, and the owner of the cards is unknown at this time.
